Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress director producer, and vocalist. Liu is a gorgeous, smart actress who is a source of inspiration for many Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. After a series of appearances on popular television series, she became famous when she was cast in The Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was transferred into roles on the big screen with Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other films. The actress also gave a superb performance as Japanese criminal O'Ren ishii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. The same year, she was also in the lead role in a few box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter.
