
Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon was born on the 22nd of March, 1976. She was the recipient of many awards, such as an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. Time magazine named her one of the top 100 influential people in the world in 2006 and 2015, and Forbes included her in the World's 100 Most Powerful Women in 2019 and 2021. Forbes declared her the World's Richest Actress in 2021. Her net worth is believed to be $400 million. Witherspoon first appeared on screen in 1991 , as an teen. Her breakthrough came in 1999, with a supporting role in Cruel Intentions, and for her portrayal of Tracy Flick in the black comedy Election. She gained wider recognition for portraying Elle Woods in the comedy Legally Blonde (2001) and the sequel, Legally Blonde 2003, as well as for starring in the romantic comedy Sweet Home Alabama (2002). She is on the Children's Defense Fund's Board and was also honored to serve as the chair of the Avon Foundation's foundation's charitable cause for women in 2007.
